A reminder that there is a fall semi-professional baseball tournament happening today in Rippey.

Three teams from three different states will play a round robin style of a tournament starting at 10:30am at Walt Anderson Field. The Rippey Demons are from the Mid-Iowa 48+ Baseball League and are playing the Kansas City Monarchs, from the Kansas City, Missouri men’s senior baseball league. The second game is between the Demons and the Minnesota Angels from the Minnesota 50+ league, which begins at 1pm. The final game will be the Angels against the Monarchs at 3:30pm. Each game will be seven innings.

The public is invited to watch the game for free and the Friends of Rippey will be selling concession items, with all proceeds going toward continuing improvements to the ballfield.
