Dallas Center – Grimes Mustangs football is continuing to find traction in district play as they were able to grab another win, this time against Des Moines Hoover on Friday night on the road winning 63-6. The win moves the Mustangs to 2-5 and the Huskies to 1-6.
The 63 points is a season high as the team was sharp offensively on Friday night, scoring 35 points in the first half to take a 35-6 lead into the locker room, then playing a quick second half that saw a healthy amount of time on turbo clock. DCG was also able to pick up multiple big plays on the defensive side of the football throughout the night, as they were able to find some mojo throughout the game.
DCG will be looking to keep their postseason hopes alive this upcoming week when they take on a terrific team in the Lewis Central Titans on the road, as DCG will be looking for their third straight win next Friday night.
