National Indigenous Peoples’ Day will be celebrated in Dallas County tomorrow with a day of exploring stories with the Dallas County Conservation Board. 

The Indigenous Peoples’ Day The Story of the Mounds will take place tomorrow from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Kuehn Conservation Area. Those participating will be able to explore stories of the First Peoples of the Kuehn Conservation Area. 

The program will involve a walk on the woodland trails to visit the site of the burial mounds which holds stories of the people who created them and the current culture’s relationship with them and recognition of them.
