Offense was alive on Friday night in Adel as a shootout took place between the ADM Tigers and the Harlan Cyclones, as Harlan was able to win the shootout between these two teams winning by the score of 58-30. The number 1 team in 3A moves forward to 7-0 on the year, in Harlan and ADM moves to 5-2 on the season.

Harlan was able to strike quick in the first quarter, as quarterback Teagon Kasperbauer was able to throw for passing touchdowns to Connor Frame and Aiden Hall as the Cyclones led 14-0 after one quarter of play. ADM would battle back in the second quarter, as Brevin Doll had a three yard rushing touchdown and Matt Dufoe was able to find Vince Benetti for a 20 yard score, but Harlan scored multiple times as well as they went into the locker room with a 31-15 lead.

The Cyclones continued to find their gear in the second half as they were able to pull away down the stretch, as Kasperbauer was able to throw for seven touchdowns on the night and Frame was able to account for five total touchdowns on the night. Doll was able to find the end zone twice for the Tigers and Dufoe had a passing and rushing touchdown. In seven games this year, this was the fifth time that Harlan was able to score 50 or more points in a game.

For the Tigers, they are still in good shape as they have to win another district game to qualify for the state playoffs. They will be hoping that they can clinch their position next Friday night when they compete in their final regular season home game against the Panthers of Knoxville.
