The Panorama Panthers Football Team will renew its inter-county rivalry with the AC/GC Chargers tonight and will look to preserve their historically perfect record against the Chargers.
Dating back to 2008 the Panthers have a perfect record of 9-0 against the Chargers in historical matchups and will be looking to keep that record clean tonight. The Panthers are coming into tonight’s matchup with an overall record of 1-5 and 0-3 in the district while the Chargers remain undefeated on the season.
The Panthers will be looking to slow down a potent rushing attack from the Chargers led by senior running back Gavin Cornelison who leads Class 1A District 7 in touchdowns with 17 which are all rushing and is also good for the most rushing touchdowns in the district and the most rushing yards in the district at 1,113 among other categories.
The Panthers will also be looking to get their own rushing attack going as they also have a potent ground game with sophomore running back Ryan Cogil who is fourth in the district in all purpose yards with 719, third in the district in rushing yards with 568, averaging 6.1 yards per carry, and is also sporting the longest rushing touchdown in the district at 70 yards.
The Panorama Panthers will be looking to keep their historical win streak against the Chargers alive as kickoff for that game is scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight in Guthrie Center.
