An Iowa-based business, with locations including Stuart, recently expanded their franchise to Story City. 

Karl Chevrolet will acquire Gookin Ford of Story City, Iowa and this will add one more franchise location to the owner Carl Moyer’s portfolio and expand the offerings under the Karl brand to Iowans. 

Marketing Director Tom Mills says the purchase  is a great opportunity to serve more Iowans. 

“With that acquisition we really have all the large domestic brands between Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram and now Ford so it really just gives us the opportunity to serve more of Iowa, and give them the ‘dealer for life’ experience that our customers have had for over 43 year(s).”

Since 2017 Moyer has purchased the following dealerships in these locations in the state of Iowa. The list includes Karl Chevrolet of Stuart, Karl Chevrolet, Buick, GMC of Webster City, Karl Buick/GMC of Marshalltown and Karl Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram of Marshalltown. Mills says that they estimate by the beginning of 2022 they will operate in Story City.
