Downtown Jefferson businesses are urging people to shop local this weekend.

Today and tomorrow is the “Harvest: A Fall Festival” where several retailers will have specials, some will have different classes and treats available. Bonnie Silbaugh with Retail Revamped says this retail promotion is part of their overall theme this year of “Rediscover Jefferson.”

“Not everything is the same as it was prior COVID, so maybe you need to reintroduce yourself to the town that you’ve lived in for a long time. If you haven’t been to a store for a while, rediscover the art downtown, rediscover the different places to eat. There’s a lot of different things going on that we want people to rediscover.”

Silbaugh urges everyone to check out local businesses and also see the fall decor.
