Those who like baseball and community engagement are invited to Rippey tomorrow.

The Rippey Demons, with the Mid-Iowa 48+ Baseball League, will be hosting a round robin fall tournament, the Rippey Ruckus, at the Walt Anderson Field in Rippey. The first game will be at 10:30am with the Demons hosting the Kansas City Monarchs, which is a combined team from the Kansas City, Missouri men’s senior baseball league. Game two will be at 1pm with the Demons against the Minnesota Angels, who hail from the Minnesota 50+ league. The final game is scheduled for 3:30pm where the Monarchs will play the Angels. Each game will be seven innings. 

Additionally, the Demons and the Friends of Rippey will also serve a meal to the visiting team’s players. While there is no admission charge for the public to attend the games, the Friends of Rippey will be selling concession items, with all proceeds going toward continuing improvements to the ballfield.
