Guthrie County Public Health is now recommending those who are 65 and older, have an underlying condition, or in a high risk environment, and have been fully vaccinated to get a Pfizer COVID-19 booster shot.
Guthrie County Public Health Director Jotham Arber says that the booster roll out in Guthrie County will look similar to the two series shot process. Arber states where you can find the booster shots.
“But right now you can access those booster shots at any of your local pharmacies. You can also on Wednesdays at the health department we’re providing clinics there to offer booster shots.”
Arber expects Moderna and Johnson & Johnson to come out with a booster shot soon and then there will be 1,500 eligible residents in Guthrie County for a booster shot.
