Adair County Health System recently recognized their long time public health director’s retirement. 

Jane Enrst has been the Adair County Public Health Director for almost three decades. Ernst has filled several roles in her career, including staff nurse in the emergency room, operating room, obstetrics and medical surgery floor, director of homecare, and director of public health at ACHS since 2002.

Jane and her team accomplished a lot including contributing to the county’s high immunization rates for children. Adair County has regularly ranked in the top five counties across the state for adolescent immunization rates in the past few decades.

After 36 years of service Enrst handed over the position on September 16th to Stephanie Claussen.
