A reminder that today is the final day of the Fall Used Book Sale at the Jefferson Public Library.

The fundraiser is hosted by the Friends of the Jefferson Library and it started on September 17th. Today is known as “Bargain Day” where patrons can fill a brown grocery bag with books for $4 and all other items are half price. Library Director Jane Millard says the book sale is partially driven by community donations and she invites anyone who has used books to drop them off at the library ahead of the next book sale in December.

“There is a donation bin right inside the library entryway. So you can fill it up for us and we’ll have those items to sell in December. And I just want to remind everyone too that this is our big fundraiser for the Friends of the Library every year. And during this time we also accept memberships to the Friends of the Library. So those two items help us raise money to do all kinds of wonderful things in the library and for the community over the coming year.”

The book sale is from 9am-1pm today in the basement of the library.
