A program that will help people get a food certification will be taking place at the beginning of October.
Dallas County Extension and Outreach will be offering a virtual food system certification program beginning on October 1st and the deadline to register for the programs is September 28th. There are also scholarships available for financial assistance.
The program aims to teach people competencies needed for food system development including equity in food systems, facilitation and coordination, and working in food systems, among other topics.
The cost to participate is $75 for just the virtual workshop series and $375 for the virtual workshop series and online modules. The fall 2021 online workshop will begin on October 1st and ends February 1st, 2022.
