For those who have a love for pets, an annual event will take place this weekend. 

The 13th Annual AHeinz 57 Ruff Ride, which supports the animal shelter in DeSoto, will be taking place tomorrow with registration beginning at 10 a.m. at Ambro’s Roadhouse in DeSoto with the ride leaving at approximately 11 a.m.

The route will feature stops at Ruby’s Pub in Stuart, Owl’s Nest in Panora and Twisted Corn in Dallas Center. Tickets are $10 which includes a meal and $15 for a t-shirt. After the ride those participating can return to Ambro’s for food, contests, fun and prizes at 3:30 p.m.

Poker hands will be available for purchase during registration for $5 for the first hand and $10 for additional hands. There will also be live music at Ambro’s following the conclusion of the ride.
