The Stuart City Council met Tuesday night.
The Council approved White Pole Road maintenance project with a cost estimate of $120,000 and adopting a 28E agreement with Guthrie County and Adair County for a permit plan to fix the road and to further evaluate the drainage repairs.
Other items the Council approved 4 to 1 with Council Member Michael Askren voting no included a public hearing for the General Obligation Corporate Purpose Loan Agreement for October 11th, road use report, hotel and motel tax committee appointments and set up a program for the Blight and Quinn properties on 113 Northeast 2nd Street. Additionally, the Council approved the financial reasonability policy unanimously.
The Council tabled the traffic concern on Northwest 2nd Street, Karl Chevorlet parking lot project, a new water tower location with a possible street section vacation and emergency medical technician tuition agreement, due to further evaluation.
Finally Beggar’s Night has been set for October 30th.
