The Dallas County Board of Supervisors approved a Midwest Alarm Systems fire suppression equipment inspection contract at their regular meeting Tuesday. 

The Board approved the contract which will service fire suppression systems in various Dallas County buildings. Also, the Board approved the abatement of mobile home taxes for a mobile home which is no longer in the county by the destruction of the mobile home and the abatement of real estate taxes

Additionally, the Board approved the time and date for two public hearings: one on the overland flowage easement for the City of Waukee at 9:30 a.m. October 5th and the second for a temporary construction easement for Stratford Crossings LLC at 9:45 a.m. October 5th. 

Also, the Board held public hearings for the Polk County Supplemental Food memorandum of understanding which will provide commodity food to eligible individuals up to 200 people. The agreement was then approved following the hearing. Additionally, the Board approved a minor plat of N&J subdivision.

Finally, the Board approved a Carriage House restoration project change order and created an American Rescue Plan Act fund to keep track of the money that is allocated to the county. The Board then moved into a closed session to discuss the purchase of particular real estate.
