The Greene County Board of Supervisors met Monday in regular session.

During open forum, County Environmental Administrator and Chair of the Beaver Creek Watershed Management Authority Chuck Wenthold gave an update. He said there were 17 applications for the coordinator position, which he anticipated having someone hired and starting next month. It is a three year position with federal grant money.

County Attorney Thomas Laehn mentioned that since September 25, 2020, there have been 15 suppression hearings and the judges sided with his office to refuse to throw out a case in all hearings.

The Board then tabled the next two agenda items. The first was a contract with Realwood Productions for the magistrate courtroom renovations. The Board agreed with the contract, but will wait to give final approval, pending a finalized agreement. The second item was a service agreement with TK Elevator for an elevator at the new law enforcement center administrative building. The Board decided to table final approval, pending further review.

Finally, the Board approved a clinical engineering agreement between Iowa Health System Contracting Services along with UnityPoint Health Consolidated Services and Greene County Ambulance for services on medical electronic equipment as presented.
