Friday, September 3rd

9:19pm: Cassie Fowler of Jefferson reported a moped being operated in a careless manner in the area of Rushview Drive. The Officer patrolled the area and did not locate the source of the complaint.

11:39pm: While on patrol, an Officer noticed a vehicle with an open door in the 700 block of North Wilson Street. The Officer found nothing suspicious and secured the door.

Saturday, September 4th

2:53am: William Davis of Jefferson reported two females had entered his residence and damaged a television. The Officer is investigating.

5:05am: Cindy Laube of Jefferson reported a suspicious male walking in the 400 block of North Oak Street. The Officer searched the area and found no one who appeared suspicious.

9:13am: Adam Winger of Jefferson reported a dog needed to be taken to the animal shelter from the 600 block of South Olive Street. The Dog was taken to the shelter.

12:02pm: Michelle Cook of Jefferson reported being harassed by text message. The Officer is investigating.

12:19pm: Stacy Wood of Jefferson reported a family member of hers was being harassed. The Officer is investigating.

2:59pm: An anonymous male reported hearing fireworks being set off in the 800 block of West Harrison Street. The Officer patrolled the area and found no fireworks being used.

4:43pm: An Officer was dispatched to the Wild Rose Casino for a possible trespasser. Prior to arriving, the Officer was told assistance was no longer needed.

Sunday, September 5th

12:15am: An Officer was dispatched to the Cobble Stone Hotel for a report of a possible fight occurring. Prior to the Officer’s arrival the two had separated and assistance was no longer needed.

2:56am: Darrell Pettit of Jefferson reported possible Criminal Mischief having occurred at the Laundry Mat, 404 South Elm Street. The Officer investigated and found no property damage.

4:33am: An Officer was dispatched to 1512 Westwood Drive for a commercial fire alarm activation. The Officer checked the property and found no signs of fire. The alarm company was advised of this.

11:22am: An Officer was requested to bring a dog to the Animal Shelter. The dog was found in the 1400 block of F Ave. The Officer placed the dog in the shelter.

Monday, September 6th

11:50am: The Story County Sheriff Office requested a Jefferson Officer assist was a harassment case. The Officer assisted as requested.

12:22pm: Duane Forkner of Jefferson reported a possible suspended driver in the 800 block of West Lincolnway. The Officer investigated and found the reported driver had a valid license at that time.

2:35pm: An Officer was dispatched to Casey’s General Store, 508 North Elm Street for a suspected counterfeit $20.00 bill. The Officer is investigating.

3:06pm: As a result of a separate investigation in the 500 block of North Elm Street. Chowng Tyng Wong of Des Moines was issued a citation for “Driving While License Suspended”

6:22pm: The Greene County Medical Center reported a dog bite incident having occurred in the 300 Block of South Grimmell Road. The Officer is investigating.

7:26pm: An Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of North Elm Street. As a result of the traffic stop Owen Thompson of Lincoln, NE was issued a citation for “Excessive Speed”

8:29pm: A Jefferson Officer was requested to assist with traffic control at 260th Street /Neola Ave. The Officer assisted until Greene County Deputies arrived.

11:03pm: Heather Dobney of Jefferson reported a few suspicious females in the 600 block of West Harrison Street. The Officer checked the area and found nothing suspicious.

Tuesday, September 7th

2:47am: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 508 North Elm Street. An employee was present and tripped the alarm accidentally.

11:16am: A Traffic Stop at Lincoln Way and Locust Streets resulted in Kamile Guinan of Templeton being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”

4:53pm: An officer assisted he GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 400 Block of South Olive Street.

11:02pm: An officer located an Open Door at 900 East Hwy. 30. The officer located employees inside working.

11:47pm: An officer checked on a female in the 500 Block of South Olive Street, who believed someone was in her residence. The officer did not locate any signs of entry, or anyone inside.
