Dallas Center – Grimes girls cross country competed in a meet down in Winterset on Tuesday, and they were able to put together a solid performance as they found some nice times up and down the board.

Senior Skyler Blessman was able to get 4th place with a time of 20 minutes and 41 seconds, and senior Hannah Little was able to get a 5th place mark of 20 minutes and 44 seconds. Junior Meredith McDermott was able to get a time of 21 minutes and 5 seconds. In the other race, freshmen Maddie Schmitz was able to grab first with a time of 20 minutes and 13 seconds, which was the third fastest time of the day in the girls race.

DCG will see their boys competing tomorrow when they will participate in a rescheduled race up in Ames against Gilbert High School and other schools.
