The week marks the only week of the year Greene County teams will be at home for volleyball, football, and cross-country. It starts with volleyball vs. PCM (Monroe) tonight in the high school gym on the NW side of Jefferson. Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s Rams are 3-0 in matches and 7-0 in sets. The Rams haven’t played since Aug. 26 while PCM has has a busy schedule so far as the Mustangs are 5-9 on the season.
Coach Caden Duncan’s Greene County football team is 1-1 after winning the “Cowbell” game 63-0 vs. Perry in Jefferson last Friday. The Rams host a 1-1 Kuemper Catholic (Carroll) team this Friday at 7 p.m. on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
The lone home cross-country meet for Greene County is this Saturday morning at Jefferson Community Golf Course along Highway 4 on the south edge of Jefferson. Middle school races start at 10 a.m., followed by high school races.
