As the Perry High School begins celebrating homecoming today, the student body will have fun dress up days this week. 

Homecoming Week will feature Disney Day today, Neon or Perry Blue tomorrow, Throwback Thursday and Class Color Day will be on Friday to round out the week. Senior Class President for Student Council Nubia Torres says students are excited for the special dress up days, especially Throwback Thursday.

“I’ve heard a lot of students talking already about that and they are thinking about doing like a 90s hairstyle and just kind of taking it back to maybe early 2000s or like the 80s and 90s. So, they are all getting ready with all their outfits.”

Torres tells Raccoon Valley Radio Throwback Thursday is an exciting dress up day for students to wear older fashion styles to see if people realize how they used to dress in the not so distant past. Torres also encourages the community to come out and show Perry Pride at some of the other events.

“Going out in support Wednesday night and Friday night. We need all the support we can get and just having the community behind us means a lot and shows that we are all united.”

Some of the events the community can come show support at are the parade at 6 p.m. tomorrow as well as the Junior Class Cookout from 6-8 p.m. tomorrow followed by the king and queen coronation and the football game Friday as well.

Thursday, September 9th:  Throwback Thursday

• Volleyball: Perry Invite @ PHS Gym, 4:00pm
• Girls Swimming @ Indianola, 5:30pm
• 9th Football @ West Central Valley, 6:00pm

Friday, September 10th:  Class Color Day- Wear your class color.
