
Dallas Center – Grimes volleyball had a tournament at Grinnell on Saturday, and the Mustangs put together a nice day, going 3-1 to jump their record to 4-4 on the season.
DCG was able to pick up wins over East Marshall twice 2-1 (21-4, 19-21, 15-2) and 2-0 (21-11, 21-5), while also picking up a win over Mount Pleasant 21-9 and 21-17. The Mustangs only blemish of the day was against Clear Creek – Amana, falling in straight sets 25-23, 21-16.
The Mustangs were able to take away a lot of positives on the day while also finding some things they will look to improve on as well.
DCG will have their next game against Oskaloosa tomorrow on the road, so the Mustangs will be looking to be road warriors and move to over .500 for the first time on the year.
