Friday, August 27th

9:05am: An Officer was requested to assist a DHS worker with a case in the 400 block of East Washington Street. It was determined nothing criminal was occurring, and the officers further assistance was not needed.

11:04am: An Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of West Lincoln Way for a minor backing accident having occurred reported by Brian Mobley of Jefferson. The accident occurred in the private parking lot for the Greene County Medical Center Clinic. A black 2015 Ford Fusion was legally parked and unoccupied. A red KIA Soul was parked to the north of Fusion. The driver of the Soul advised he was focused on another vehicle in the parking lot trying and trying to avoid a collision with the other vehicle. Soul backed into the rear end of the Fusion causing minor damage.

1:05pm: Christopher Lawrence of Jefferson reported fraudulent activity on his bank account. The Officer is investigating.

1:26pm: An Officer was requested to assist a DHS worker with a welfare check in the 1200 block of Westwood Drive. Before the Officer arrived, it was determined the welfare check was not needed.

4:09pm: Eric Chrystal of Jefferson reported a theft from his property. The Officer made attempts to follow up with Mr. Chrystal and was unable to do so. The Officer is investigating.

4:46pm: Greene County Medical Center Staff reported a suspicious male walking in the parking lot. The Officer spoke with the male and found he was waiting for a family member inside the Clinic.

7:10pm: A traffic stop was conducted in the 700 block of North Elm Street. As a result of the stop, Gilberto Morales of Alabama was issued a citation for “Excessive Speed”

7:27pm: A traffic stop was conducted in the 800 block of North Elm Street. As a result of the stop, Todd Grafton of Dallas Center was issued a citation for “Excessive Speed”

10:00pm: A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of North Elm Street and 250th Street. As a result of the stop, Nathan Brokaw of Perry was issued a citation for “Excessive Speed”

11:16pm: An Officer was requested to respond to a residence in the 600 block of North Cedar Street to check on the welfare of a male who lived in the area. The Officer was unable to speak with anyone at the residence.

Saturday, August 28th

12:51am: A traffic Stop was conducted near the intersection of M. Ave. / 220th Street. As a result of the traffic stop, James Beem of Florida was issued citations for “Excessive Speed” “Driving While License is Suspended” and “Operation without Registration”

2:21am: Sparky’s One Stop staff requested an Officer respond to 606 Highway 30 East for an upset customer. The Officer investigated and found the argument had been verbal and nothing illegal had occurred.

2:32am: An Officer was requested to assist the Greene County Ambulance and Greene County Sheriffs Office with a medical call located outside of the Jefferson City Limits. As the Officer was responding, he was told to disregard as further assistance was no longer needed.

2:55am: While on patrol an Officer located an open door at the Jefferson Golf Course. The Officer checked the property and secured the door.

9:08am: A traffic Stop was conducted in near the intersection of 220th Street / Oakland Ave. As a result of the stop, Frank Niederklopfer of Ankeny was issued a citation for “Excessive Speed”

9:40am: An Officer was requested to assist the Greene County Ambulance with a medical call in the 700 block of South Locust Street. The Officer responded and assisted as needed.

1:12pm: Roger Ketchum of Jefferson requested an Officers assistance in retrieving property from a residence in the 700 block of West Harrison Street. The Officer assisted as required.

7:02pm: A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Central Street and Elm Street. As a result of the traffic stop, Rodney Blackmon of Des Moines was issued a citation for “Excessive Speed”

8:36pm: Mike Mentzer of Jefferson reported he had struck a deer with a vehicle on Westwood Drive near Deer Run. A report was not needed, the vehicle received minor bumper damage and the deer could not be located.

Sunday, August 29th

1:06am: While on patrol an Officer located and open door and Morton Buildings, 509 East Gallup Road. The Officer checked the property and secured the door.

1:14am: While on patrol and Officer located an open door at Landus Coop, 1500 North Mulberry Street. The Officer Checked the property and secured the door.

7:46am: Matt McAfee of Jefferson reported a vehicle burglary in the 300 block of West Edgewood having occurred overnight. The Officer is investigating.

8:09am: James Groves of Jefferson reported a vehicle burglary in the 300 block of West Edgewood having occurred overnight. The Officer is investigating.

8:30am: Jeramine Hinote of Jefferson reported a vehicle burglary in the 400 block of South Locust having occurred overnight. The Officer is investigating.

8:37am: Shawn Scheuermann of Jefferson reported a vehicle burglary in the 400 block West Sunset Road having occurred overnight. The Officer is investigating.

8:50am: Dana Temples of Jefferson reported a vehicle burglary in the 400 block of North Oak Street having occurred overnight. The Officer is investigating.

8:55am: Ryan Mobley of Jefferson reported a vehicle burglary in the 400 block of South Locust Street having occurred overnight. The Officer is investigating.

9:31am:Stacy Wood of Jefferson reported a vehicle burglary in the 700 block of Rushview Road having occurred overnight. The Officer is investigating.

9:43am: Cory Fowler of Jefferson reported a vehicle burglary in the 300 block of Rushview Drive having occurred overnight. The Officer is investigating.

9:51am: Robin Bonner of Jefferson reported a vehicle burglary having occurred in the 700

block of Rushview Drive having occurred overnight. The Officer is investigating.

10:14 Hours: Ben Campbell of Jefferson reported a vehicle burglary in the 600 block of

Rushview Drive having occurred overnight. The Officer is investigating.

11:31 Hours: Andrew Michaelsen of Jefferson reported a vehicle burglary in the 700 block of

South Locust Street having occurred overnight. The Officer is investigating.

11:44am: James Grace of Jefferson reported a vehicle burglary in the 700 block of South

Locust Street having occurred overnight. The Officer is investigating.

1:01pm: Gayle Pike of Jefferson reported a stray dog running loose in the 200 block of South West Street. The Officer looked for the dog and did not locate it.

1:48pm: Sue Woodford of Jefferson reported a vehicle burglary in the 600 block of Rushview Drive having occurred overnight. The Officer is investigating.

2:48pm: Jacob Fester of Jefferson reported a vehicle burglary in the 1200 block of Southfield Drive having occurred overnight. The Officer is investigating.

2:50pm: Sue Aspengren of Jefferson reported a vehicle burglary in the 1300 block of Southfield Drive having occurred overnight. The Officer is investigating.

2:54pm: An officer was requested to preform traffic control for the Greene County Ambulance at the intersection of Elm Street and Lincolnway.

2:55pm: Andy Melin of Richfield Minnesota reported a vehicle burglary in the 1300 block of Southfield Drive having occurred overnight. The Officer is investigating

4:13pm: Craig Freeman of Jefferson reported seeing a suspicious vehicle in the 300 block of South Olive Street on August 27th, 2021. The Officer is investigating.

5:38pm: Forest Shady of Jefferson reported a vehicle burglary in the 400 block of Rushview Drive having occurred overnight. The Officer is investigating.

8:51pm: Michelle Cook of Jefferson reported a child custody issue occurring. The Officer is investigating.
