Ogden quarterback Lane Snedden had no trouble adjusting to a new position Friday night.  The senior quarterback ran for four touchdowns and threw for 291 yards as Ogden defeated Perry 33-0 in the season opener for both teams at Dewey Field.  Snedden was an all district wide receiver last year but Head coach Jacob Burger made the decision to move him to quarterback this season following the graduation of his senior quarterback a year ago.  The senior showed poise under fire all night connecting with both Cael Pearson and Jack Christensen frequently.  Both Bulldog receivers ended up with over 100 yards on the night.

Ogden carried a 7-0 lead into the second quarter and added 12 points in the final five minutes to take a commanding 19-0 lead into the break.  The Perry offense put together one impressive drive in the first half marching the ball all the way to the Ogden 12 yard line from their own one yard line but saw the drive end in a redzone fumble.  Caden Heck completed 4-9 for 79 yards with three big receptions going to Abe Ruiz.  Jeremiah Cregeen led the quiet ground game for Perry with 37 yards.  Ogden outgained the Bluejays 476-94.

Caden Widen and Ruiz each added an interception for the Perry defense while Gavin Hegstrom led the team in tackles and recorded one sack.

Perry falls to 0-1 and will travel to 0-1 Greene County Friday night.  Ogden host Wayne in their home and district opener.
