If you are wanting to experience Latino culture, an event today in Perry will give you the opportunity to do so.
The Perry Latino Festival begins at 10 a.m. with the parade which starts on Willis Avenue. Then at 11 a.m. welcome remarks will be made just outside of the Raccoon Valley Bank. Then from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. there will be a free COVID-19 vaccination clinic with Dallas County Hospital.
Also, at 1:30 p.m. there will be the Hispanics United for Perry award that will be given outside of Raccoon Valley Bank. Throughout the day there will be music, kids activities, dances, food and more until 7 p.m.
This year the Latino Festival is returning in-person after taking place virtually last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
