If you are wanting to get out and meet some local animals that are up for adoption, Raccoon River Pet Rescue will have an event this weekend in Perry. 

The “Kittens and Koffee” event will run from 10 a.m. to noon this Saturday at Perry Perk. Those attending will be able to meet some of the kittens which are available for adoption at the shelter and receive a sweet or savory treat.  

Shelter Manager Lexi Linton will also be on hand to introduce people to the adoptable animals and there will also be adoption applications available. All ages are welcome to attend this free event.
