An event was held on Friday for the West Central Valley School District staff in preparation for the school year that begins on Monday.
A Welcome Back event was held at the high school, where all staff members were invited to a free breakfast, provided by the Stuart Chamber of Commerce. Following the meal, a program was held in the cafeteria.
Co Superintendent Anthony Lohse then introduced the 13 new staff members to the district. He acknowledged how last year they could not all come together for an event due to the pandemic. He gave high praise to his staff and is expecting this year to be one of the best school years they have ever had.
“Whether it’s with our nutrition, transportation and our teachers, our paras. We have from top to bottom an outstanding support for our students. So this year, I just know it’s going to be one of the best years we’ll every have.”
Lohse also talked about how having the community support from the Stuart Chamber of Commerce and the businesses in the city to bring them breakfast makes them know the school year will be better compared to last year.
