With school starting on Monday, the Guthrie County Health Services Department is reminding parents to keep their child home if they are sick.
According to the Guthrie County Health Services Department there has been 19 new COVID-19 Delta cases in the last four days in Guthrie County. Guthrie County Health Services Director Jotham Arber tells Raccoon Valley Radio the number one thing parents can do to help the mitigation of COVID-19 in schools.
“To make sure this virus does not spread in school settings is to keep those kids at home so if you have kids and they’re sick or you’re sick don’t send those kids to school until you know kind of what’s going on.”
Arber also says another way to prevent the spread of the virus is for those students that are 12 and older to get vaccinated.
