With the Raccoon Valley Radio tower project getting back on track, work will continue today and tomorrow.
General Manager John McGee says the rest of the work to be completed this week consists of replacing the antennas and transmission line for the 99.7FM KDLS signal and realigning the studio transmission line after being damaged during last year’s derecho storm.
McGee says this phase of the project will begin sometime this weekend, with the entire project to be completed late next week.
This work will mark the completion of the tower project in Perry which included replacing the porcelain insulators on all three towers, as well as completely replacing the east tower and stripping the east and west tower of their lighting to align with today’s standards.
When work does begin to replace the antennas and transmission line for 99.7FM KDLS there will be on-air interruptions but you can tune into 1310AM KDLS, the KDLS app on your electronic device or online at raccoonvalleyradio.com
