An Ogden man was recently sentenced to prison for a December 2020 incident in Jefferson.
According to court documents, 29-year-old Matthew Spaulding pled guilty to a Class C Felony for second degree burglary. He was sentenced to ten years in prison with credit for time already served, and to run consecutive to five year prison sentence, following the conviction of a felony charge from Dallas County from an unrelated incident.
The burglary charge stemmed from a December 7, 2020 incident where Spaulding entered a residence in the 300 block of East Lincoln Way without permission and removed items from the home.
Spaulding was also ordered to pay over $3,000 in fines, surcharges, victim restitution, court appointed attorney fees and court costs.
