Dallas Center – Grimes will be taking the field for the first time this season when they participate in a scrimmage against Des Moines Christian in Grimes. After a 6-0 regular season last year, DCG was unable to get far in the playoffs losing to Carlisle in the early rounds, and will be looking to use that as some motivation this upcoming season.

DCG will be looking to be crisp both offensively and defensively against the Lions, who usually have put together some good teams at the 2A level these last few years. DCG has been playing a good amount of different opponents for the beginning of the year, seeing schools at different levels, but pretty much all of them seeing success.

The big keys for the Mustangs will be how strong their offensive and defensive lines look, working on their depth and seeing players they can trust, and limiting penalties.

The game will be held at the high school stadium tonight, as DCG will be looking to put together a strong performance in front of their home fans.
