As the end of summer is near, the Guthrie Center Fire Department wants to serve members of the community dinner. 

Guthrie Center Fire Department is hosting Summer Grill Out on August 19th. The grill out will include a serving of hamburgers, chips, drinks and a cookie. Organizer of the event, Erica Finister, tells Raccoon Valley Radio the department is hoping to continue these community outreach events. 

“We’re hoping to make this kind of an annual thing, maybe more in the spring of next year, like an end of school cookout. Maybe make it a little bigger if we get a good response this year to this one.”    

The Guthrie Center Fire Department Grill Out will be from 5pm to 7pm and will accept free will donations.
