If you haven’t had the opportunity to check out the new high school or the renovated middle school in the Greene County School District, a special open house is taking place this weekend.

A dedication ceremony will take place in the high school auditorium this Sunday at 1:30pm. Following the ceremony will be an open house of the middle and high schools, as well as the Career Academy until 4:30pm. Superintendent Tim Christensen remarks on how last year went being in the new high school and the renovated middle school.

“Very successful and reflecting on that, I’m not sure how we would’ve made it through the years, if we weren’t in those updated facilities, new facilities and everything, that’s a huge benefit.”

The dedication ceremony was supposed to take place last year, following the completion of both projects, but the COVID-19 pandemic prevented such an event. Sunday’s dedication and open house are free and open to the public.
