A Boone man was recently sentenced to probation for a Grand Junction incident.
According to court documents, 24-year-old Conar Hornsby pled guilty to a Class D Felony for his third or subsequent offense for possession of methamphetamine. He had his five year prison sentence suspended and placed on probation for two years.
The charge stemmed from a September 15th incident. A Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy saw suspicious activity outside of a residence in the 400 block of 15th Street in Grand Junction. As the deputy was talking to Hornsby and another individual, it was discovered that Hornsby had an arrest warrant in Guthrie County. When Hornsby was being arrested, two plastic baggies were found on him, which tested positive for methamphetamine.
Hornsby was also ordered to pay over $1,500 in fines, surcharges, court appointed attorney fees, court costs and a probation fee.
