A new event will take place this Sunday as a way to put the needs of students, parents, school staff and administration through prayer.

The Inspire Our Schools’ will be held for the first time at the school buildings with the Greene County School District. Organizers say the event first started in 2018 by a parent who felt God’s “nudge” to inspire schools through prayer. A volunteer prayer leader will be outside each school building in Jefferson to lead attendees through a list of scripted prayers. The event will last 30 minutes and it is non-denominational and anyone is welcomed to join. 

Inspire Our Schools’ is not endorsed or sponsored by the school district, permission was simply given to allow for the event to take place outside of the school buildings. It will be at 7pm this Sunday.
