The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office responded to two traffic-related crashes Tuesday and Wednesday, which both resulted in injuries.
The first incident was reported on Tuesday at 5:30am. Fifty-seven-year-old Donald Gerald of Anita was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup eastbound on White Pole Road west of Menlo. His pickup truck struck a bull cow that was in the middle of the road. Gerald was transported to Methodist Medical Center West by Stuart EMS for minor injuries. There was $15,000 damage to the vehicle and the animal was destroyed.
The second crash happened on Sage Trail in Panora at 10:16pm Wednesday. According to the report, 44-year-old Michael Krull of Panora was traveling westbound on Sage Trail when he lost control of his 2017 Subaru Forester and it overturned in a ditch on Panorama Drive.
Krull was sitting in the passenger seat when deputies arrived and he was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Krull was then arrested and transported to the Guthrie County Jail for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Also he was cited for failure to maintain control and the Subaru sustained $15,000 in damages.
