With more changes coming for the Raccoon Valley Radio towers in Perry, the timeline to continue work has been moved.
General Manager John McGee says the work was originally scheduled to begin again the week of August 9th as the tower crews in Arkansas are fabricating the equipment needed to continue to project on the center tower.
McGee says the timeline is now anticipated to start again the week of August 16th. McGee notes Crews from Wallace Tower are in the process of making equipment such as a jack to raise the center tower to replace the porcelain insulator before beginning work on the antennas and transmission line.
Once the project starts back up there will be some on-air interruptions for the 99.7FM KDLS signal. If there are on air interruptions you can tune into 1310AM KDLS, the KDLS app on your electronic device or online at raccoonvalleyradio.com
