Admirers and owners of classic and modern automobiles are invited to a special event this weekend in Grand Junction.

The Grand Junction Lions Club is hosting the 8th Annual Show and Shine Show Saturday at the city park. Registrations will take place starting at 9am, with the show from 11am-2pm, and awards will follow at 2. Secretary Terry Hoefle says there are several awards, including best, truck, tractor, motorcycle, and Ford, Chevrolet and Mopar cars; along with Lions Club and Peoples Choice and Best of Show. The winners of each category will receive a trophy and there will be door prizes given away.

Hoefle points out there will also be a food truck from Ames serving a variety of food for participants and attendees. The event is free to register as well as attend and no pre-registration is necessary.
