The Board approved raising the average hourly pay for the facilities department employees at Tuesday’s meeting.

After the Board heard from Facilities Management Brandon Thompson about getting more competitive pay for hiring workers. The raise would allow new hires to earn $20.50 per hour and then after a six month probationary period, pay would increase to $21 an hour.

The Board heard from Guthrie County Treasurer Marci Schreck about the assignment of the County held tax sale parcel and approved the selling of lot 183 at the Diamondhead Lake that would cost $3,560 in back taxes.

Next, the Board appointed Guthrie County Sheriff Marty Arganbright to the Regional Housing Authority Board of Directors with Region XII Council of Governments. Also they approved a pay application of $494,000 to the Samuels Group, half of the payment for the Shive Hattery invoice for $16,000 and  the potential change order to put two inch drains in the Law Enforcement Center for $829.

The Board tabled a second invoice for Shive Hattery because they want it itemized and discussed employee evaluations.
