An Iowa Senator is throwing his hat into the political ring for U.S. Senate.
Republican Jim Carlin from Sioux City is running for U.S. Senate and he made a campaign stop at the Guthrie Center American Legion Monday night.
Carlin is running against Republican incumbent Chuck Grassley in the 2022 June Primary. Carlin talked about why he stopped in Guthrie Center.
“Well you want to hit every, every community in Iowa as best as you can, every county, all 99 counties, and Guthrie Center is a place that represents the values of Iowa I believe well the true values of Iowa are conservative values.”
Carlin said he is getting in the primary election for a simple reason.
“ Do you believe our grandchildren are going to be free? When I look at what’s going on today since Election Day, the answer to that is, no.”
He also stated that he is running because Senator Grassley did certify the 2020 election and did not look into voter fraud.
