A Stuart man suffered minor injuries from a single vehicle rollover crash last Wednesday.

According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the incident at 6:14pm on Iowa Highway 25, just before Monteith Road. A 2014 Chevrolet Silverado K1500 truck that was attached to a camping trailer was headed northbound on Highway 25, when the driver, 34-year-old Ryan Morrison, lost control of the vehicle, crossed the centerline and swerved, causing the vehicle to roll into the west ditch. 

The crash report shows Morrison suffered minor injuries and was taken to Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines by Panora EMS. The vehicles sustained $40,000 in damages and there was an additional $500 damage done to a barbed wire fence. Morrison was cited for failure to maintain control and failure to wear a seat belt.
