The drought conditions in the Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area have stayed identical to the previous week.
According to the latest U.S. Drought Monitor, the northeastern half of Greene County and the northeastern quarter of Dallas County continue to be in a severe drought, while the southwestern half of Greene County, most of Dallas and Guthrie counties are in a moderate drought. Additionally, the southwestern corner of Guthrie County and southeastern part of Dallas County are abnormally dry.
According to the National Weather Service, it has been 14 days since Jefferson, Perry and Guthrie Center have recorded any rainfall.
