Friday, July 30th
12:06am: While on patrol, an Officer located an open door at the Jefferson Golf Course. The Officer checked the property and secured the door.
2:13am: An Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of South Olive Street for a report from Angela Dudley for a noise being heard in the basement. The Officer checked the residence and found nothing out of the ordinary.
11:41am: An Officer was requested to return a phone call to a female at the Super 8 Hotel. It was reported the female had questions in reference to a No Contact Order. The Officer returned the call and found the female was no longer at the Super 8.
11:52am: Nicole Behrens of Jefferson reported her Australian Shepherd breed dog had gotten loose and requested the Officer watch for it. The Officer did so and did not locate it.
8:32pm: Gretta Trammell of Jefferson reported a black Chevy Silverado driving carelessly near the intersection of Clark and Locust Street. An officer responded and located the vehicle suspected to have been involved. As a result of the investigation, Brayden Greimann of Jefferson was given a warning for the reported driving.
9:23pm: An Officer was dispatched to the 1400 block of South Elm Street for a medical alarm activation. The Officer located the source of the alarm and found it had been activated accidentally.
9:42pm: Officers where dispatched to the 600 block of South Olive Street for a report from an anonymous caller of a male and female screaming inside a residence. The Officers located the source of the complaint and spoke with both involved. They both reported the argument had been verbal only and requested no further action from the Officer.
Saturday, July 31st
8:45am: Regency Park reported a male resident who had left the facility and was refusing to return. Due to medical issues the staff was concerned for his safety. The Officer, along with staff convinced the male to return to Regency Park.
11:11am: Jessica Wolf of Jefferson reported a suspicious vehicle parked at the little league field, 510 North Pinet Street. The Officer checked the vehicle and found nothing suspicious.
1:05pm: Roslyn Griffin of Jefferson requested an Officer assist her in recovering items she had loaned to friends of her Grandson. The Officer is investigating.
3:26pm: A traffic stop was performed near the intersection of 220 th Street and Grimmell Road. As a result of the traffic stop, Susana Kimble of Norfolk was issued a citation for “Excessive Speed”
3:45pm: David McQuillen of Jefferson reported two large branches in the roadway on West Russell Street near the Water Treatment plant. The Officer checked the area and found no branches in the roadway.
6:16pm: A traffic stop was performed in the 600 block of North Highway 4. As a result of the traffic stop, Skylar Johnson of Jefferson was issued a citation for “Fail to Have a Valid Motorcycle License”
7:42pm: A traffic stop was performed in the 1000 block of North Grimmell Road. As a result of the traffic stop, Emily McCormick was issued a citation for “Excessive Speed”
8:53pm: John Sturgeon of Jefferson requested assistance in retrieving items belonging to his adult daughter from a residence in the 300 block of North Oak Street. The Officer assisted in retrieving the requested items.
Sunday, August 1st
4:35am: An Officer was advised of two suspicious vehicles parked at Henderson Park. The Officer found the occupants of the vehicles were fishing.
6:07am: Fareway reported a suspected theft having occurred on July 31 st, 2021. The amount of the theft was estimated at $156.02. The Officer is investigating.
6:59am: The Cobblestone Hotel reported staff having found suspected controlled substances in the hotel near the dining area. The Officer responded and collected the items into evidence. The Officer is investigating.
10:37am: Susan Smith of Jefferson reported her vehicle was having mechanical problems and was left on a city roadway until it could be removed. The Officer checked on the vehicle and found it was legally parked, causing no obstruction to the flow of traffic.
11:22am:John Sturgeon of Jefferson requested assistance in retrieving further items belonging to his adult daughter from a residence in the 300 block of North Oak Street. The Officer responded and remained until he was no longer needed.
1:36pm: An Officer was dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of East Madison Street for a report of a possible break in having occurred overnight. The Officer is investigating.
2:02pm: Josh Derry of Jefferson reported a female walking in the middle of the roadway in the 300 block of North Chestnut Street. The female was having trouble keeping her balance as she walked and appeared to be intoxicated. An Officer responded and checked the area. The female was not located.
7:40pm: The Jefferson Police Department was requested to assist the Greene County Sheriff’s Office with a pursuit of a male on a motorcycle. The pursuit ended when the male stopped at Sparky’s One Stop. As a result, Ryan James Brown of Jefferson was arrested by the Greene County Deputy. All Charges were filed by the Greene County Sheriff Office.
