A Perry man has been sentenced to jail following a short chase through Perry earlier this year.
According to court documents, 29-year-old Anthony Booth was sentenced to 120 days in the Dallas County Jail after pleading guilty to the serious misdemeanor charge of eluding and was ordered to pay a $430 fine. Also, Booth received numerous traffic violations and a simple misdemeanor for interference with official acts, which are all being held open for further review.
Booth was arrested following an incident on April 18th when a Perry Police Officer saw Booth leaving his home and tried to conduct a traffic stop because of an arrest warrant that was issued. Booth refused to pull his vehicle over and then drove his vehicle into a wooded area before fleeing on foot.
Booth was eventually apprehended near L Place and 130th Street.
