Patricia Ann Hofbauer, age 79, of Coon Rapids, IA, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at her home near Coon Rapids surrounded by her family.

     A funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Coon Rapids with Rev. Rick Hamilton officiating.  Burial will be in the Coon Rapids Cemetery at a later date.

     Visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Coon Rapids from 5 – 7 P.M. on Wednesday prior to the service.

     Pat was born on January 18, 1942 in Iowa City, Iowa and was the daughter of Chuck and Hazel (Kepple) Hupp and Dan Hupp.  Her family moved to Coon Rapids when she was 16 years old where she attended school.  She was married to Robert Hofbauer Sr. on November 16, 1959.  Throughout her working career, Pat worked for the Garst and Thomas Seed Company, the Bayard Egg Plant, the Coon Rapids Locker, Thomas Rest Haven, Rose Acres, and Frohlichs Super Value.  She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren, going for walks outdoors, and she adored her dogs Peanut, Harley, and Daisy.

     Pat is survived by three sons: Robert Hofbauer Jr. of Coon Rapids, Joe Hofbauer of Coon Rapids, Kenneth Hofbauer (Arleen Sheppard) Berwick, IA; two daughters: Jackie Hofbauer of Bangor, MI, and Julie Nielson (Ken Buelt) of Coon Rapids; fifteen grandchildren including Chris, Cindy, Matthew, Robert, Jason, Jenna, Annika, Nick, Cassie, Kaylee, Kelsey, Michael, Jessica, Jacob, and Kennedy; nineteen great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, good friends, and her special care giver Kimberly.

     Pat was preceded in death by Robert Hofbauer Sr.; her parents Chuck and Hazel Williams and Dan Hupp; her father and mother-in-law Joe and Dorothy Hofbauer; two brothers: Frank and Larry Hupp; and a grandson Jeffrey Hofbauer.
