The Greene County Medical Center recently announced a couple of staffing changes.

Dr. Holly Van de Voort will be leaving the Greene County Medical Center Family Medicine Clinic to return to Georgia to continue practicing pediatrics. She is a Pella native, but spent her adolescent years in Georgia. She was hired as a physician with the Family Medicine Clinic in 2019. Her final day is August 27th and she will continue to take appointments until then, by calling 515-386-0500. Anyone looking for another physician at the medical center, other providers include Dr. Laurie Connolly, Dr. Thomas Fagg, Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners Sara Fleecs and Diana Smith.  

Dr. Connolly, who is also the medical center’s Chief Medical Officer, announced hiring Dr. Mark Buettner as the Emergency Department Director, in collaboration with SCP Health. SCP Health is a physician-led organization that is committed to patient-care excellence, and all physicians are emergency medicine (EM) trained. 

Dr. Buettner has over 22 years of experience in EM, including advanced wound care.
