June unemployment in the Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area saw a noticeable increase.

According to Iowa Workforce Development, Greene County went from 3.5-percent unemployment in May to 4.1-percent in June. Dallas and Guthrie counties each had a 0.4-percent increase in unemployment from May to June to 3.3-percent and 4.3-perecent, respectively. 

Iowa’s unemployment rate from May to June went up 0.1-percent to four-percent, while the national unemployment rate also crept up by 0.1-percent to 5.9-percent in June.
