Greene County Relay for Life has announced plans for fundraising in the fight against cancer.
Events Team Leadership Chair Tori Riley says for a second consecutive year the American Cancer Society is discouraging large in-person events and so they will once again host a curbside meal on Friday, July 30th from 5-6:30pm at the Greene County Community Center. The free-will donation meal will include a grilled burger, chips, cookies and water. Volunteers will be in the parking lot to provide the meals car-side just like last year’s event.
Greene County Relay for Life will also host a “Relay Remembers” event in November, which will include a luminaria ceremony, silent auction and a soup supper.
Riley also encourages fundraising teams to help further raise more funds for cancer research with the American Cancer Society. To signup a team, click the link below, or for more information, contact Riley at 515-370-3087 or Tina Coleman at tina.coleman@cancer.org.
