As the calendar prepares to roll over into August, the Adel Public Library is preparing for multiple fun events. 

The American Girl Tea Party is returning this summer with two times of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on August 3rd. Those attending can dress up, bring their dolls and have fun at the library. Registration for the event is required and space is limited. The event is open to all ages of boys and girls. 

Also, at 10:30 a.m. August 4th the last Storytime in the Park event will take place and will feature a  Teddy Bear Picnic. Those attending can bring their own bears or stuffed animals and enjoy stories, music and activities at Evans Park, and participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch. 

Finally, the Friends of the Library Foundation Book Sale will take place from August 11th to 17th during regular library hours in the library community room. The library will be closed August 14th but the community room will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All proceeds go to fund next year’s summer reading program.
