The Dallas Center – Grimes Mustangs baseball team will be opening up on Friday night in Grimes when they open up against the Eagles of Saydel. The Mustangs will be coming in with a 17-16 record while Saydel is 11-22 is a matchup of the 3 vs. 6 seed. Both of these teams come into the postseason with some tough losses as of late, as the Mustangs have lost four of their last five games, while the Eagles have lost five straight games, so somebody will be looking to change their fortunes tonight.

DCG as a team is averaging 5.8 runs per game, and have done a good job of finding ways to get on base this season, with a team on base percentage of .390. The Mustangs pitching staff has a couple of starters who have produced good numbers throughout the season and expected to pitch postseason in Trevor Hamil and Huston Halverson, as both pitchers have an ERA below four.
