A Glidden man was sentenced to jail following an investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.
According to court documents, 26-year-old Kole Higgins pled guilty to an aggravated misdemeanor for driving while barred. He was sentenced to 75 days in the Greene County Jail, with credit for time already served.
The charge stemmed from an investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office. A deputy obtained camera footage of Higgins driving two vehicles a total of 25 times between April 14th and May 1st from a residence in the 1000 block of Stanton Street in Scranton. Higgins had his driving privileges barred in August of 2015 and his license would have been reinstated in August of 2023. Higgins was charged with 25 counts of driving while barred, but per his plea agreement, the state agreed to dismiss the other 24 charges.
Higgins is still awaiting the outcome of a probation violation after he was convicted of a felony for burglary in 2019, when he was placed on probation.
